Since 1978, Dr. Puig has been devoted to the health and safety needs of his clients. He offers innovative, cost-effective solutions for today’s health care concerns. He tailors his services to assist in the management of work-related health care based on the individual company needs. While practicing family emergency medicine early in his career, Dr. Puig noticed a specific need for healthcare tailored to individuals with work-related injuries and health concerns.
He established OMC in 1995 as a single-focus facility dedicated to serving the occupational medical needs of the area employers and their employees. Louis F. Puig, M.D., a graduate of University of Texas Medical School at San Antonio, with surgical training from Baylor, is the driving force for Occupational Medical Care. His motto ontinues to be “give the best medical care to get the best results”.
Dr. Puig continually strives to update the OMC facilities. Recent OMC upgrades include conversions to digital x-ray systems, implementation of electronic medical record process, and establishing the PCE system. Occupational Medical CARE is committed to advancing medical education for it’s staff as well as qualifying to precept and train medical residents from the University of Texas Southwest center for Occupational Medicine and Baylor College of Medicine.
The OMC family has expanded since the first clinic opened in 1995. Offering facilities in both Pasadena and Nederland, they serve communities in the Texas Golden Triangle of Beaumont, Orange and Port Arthur as well as the Greater Houston Area.
Dr. Puig makes himself able, available and accessible to the needs of his clients while establishing long-lasting relationships and providing services they can depend on with a staff they can trust.
